Description

This 10 bolívares banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Venezuela on May 31, 1990, as part of the series that circulated before the 2007 redenomination. The obverse features portraits of Simón Bolívar on the left and Antonio José de Sucre on the right, printed in violet tones on a turquoise background with a decorative frame. The denomination "DIEZ" (ten) is displayed in each corner.

The reverse is designed in violet shades and depicts the Carabobo Monument, commemorating the decisive Battle of Carabobo (June 24, 1821), which secured Venezuela’s independence. To the right, the coat of arms of Venezuela is displayed, with the denomination repeated in each corner.

The banknote measures 156 × 69 mm and was withdrawn from circulation on January 31, 2006. Its design reflects key historical events in Venezuela’s struggle for independence.
