Description

The 1 Dollar Presidential Andrew Jackson 2008, minted at the Denver Mint (D), is part of the U.S. Presidential Dollar series, honoring the seventh President of the United States, Andrew Jackson (1767–1845). This series, launched in 2007, celebrates the nation's leaders with detailed engravings and high-quality craftsmanship.

The obverse, designed by Don Everhart, features a distinguished portrait of Andrew Jackson. His strong gaze and resolute expression reflect his legacy as a military leader and populist president. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions "ANDREW JACKSON", "7th PRESIDENT", and the years of his presidency, "1829-1837".

The reverse, also designed by Don Everhart, showcases the iconic Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and democracy. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "$1" emphasize the coin’s denomination and national identity.

This coin is struck in manganese-brass clad composition, giving it a distinctive golden appearance. With edge inscriptions including the year, mintmark, and "E PLURIBUS UNUM", it is a highly collectible piece for enthusiasts of U.S. numismatics and history.
